Introduction : God has prepared everything for all humankind, so we can live an easy and comfortable life without toil and burden when we believe, obey, love and follow our God. This is the same as the parents prepared everything for their children. The parents want their children to live a comfortable life by following, obeying and loving the will of parents.


1. The rest prepared for Adam
    1) God created heaven and earth in 6 days
        - God created alone without help of Adam    (Ge 1:28, 31, 2:1-2)
    2) God created the Garden of Eden for Adam
        - God only asked for faith, obedience, love and service    (Ge 2:15-17)
    3) Adam´s rebellion and fall
        (1) Excessive greed and rebellion    (Ge 3:4-6)
        (2) Banished from rest of God    (Ge 3:17, 19. 23-24)

2. The rest prepared for Israel
    1) God has prepared the land of Canaan that overflows with milk and honey  (Ex 3:8)
    2) God has prepared a help during the time of journey in the desert    (Ex 13:21)
    3) Israelites did not enter into the prepared rest of God, because they didn´t love God
        with disbelief and disobedience    (Nu 14:29-30, Heb 4:1-2)

3. The eternal rest prepared in heaven    (Heb 4:3, 9-10)
    1) God has prepared the way to heaven and a place in heaven through Jesus
        Christ    (Jn 14:6, 2-3)
    2) Enter into the rest by belief, hope, love and obedience    (1Pe 1:3-5)
    3) People who cannot enter into the rest of God
        (1) Indifference    (2) Rebellion    (Heb 3:12-13)
        (3) Make their own way    (Heb 3:18-19, Ps 37:5)

4. The rest prepared on earth
    1) Jehovah-Jireh God    (1Co 2:9, Ro 8:32, Heb 4:11)
    2) The peace of life of belief, obedience, love and service
        (Mt 11:28-30, Dt 30:19-20, Heb 4:16)


Conclusion : God has prepared beforehand, because God knows everything beforehand. God want us to live in that prepared rest.
