Introduction :Toward the end of the Joseon Dynasty, western powers formed friendly relationships with Korea and visited Korea. Western miners came to Korea digging for gold. They started a quest for gold mines, and they would put up a sign, "Nodaji" (no touch), at places where they believed much gold may be buried underground. Koreans called such a place "a rich mine," and they thought that they could get much gold from this place. After that, people would say, "I gained nodaji-a rich mine," or, "I found a rich mine," when they experienced an unexpected fortune. There is a theory that supports this fact as well. The Bible is really the rich mine of heaven that gives our lives success and blessing. The principle of sowing and reaping is an example of a rich mine. You will gain a rich mine in life if you understand and practice the principle of sowing and reaping.


1. The natural principle of sowing and reaping
    1) The principle of agriculture    (Ge 8:22)
        (1) You must sow to reap
            * A lazy son and his father´s will that he hide gold in the field
        (2) Reap by classification - Spiritually the same. Sow hatred and never reap love
            (Gal 6:7-8)
        (3) If you sow little, you will reap little. If you sow much, you will reap much
            (Ecc 11:6, Pr 10:4)
    2) We need the help of God    (Ps 65:9)
        (1) A drought should not come
        (2) A flood should not come - A typhoon or heavy rain
        (3) Damage by blight or noxious insects should not come
        (4) An earthquake or fire should not come
        (5) Cold weather damage should not come
            - Even though we try our best, everything will be in vain without the blessing of
               God    (Dt 28:38, 7:13)

2. The spiritual principle of sowing and reaping
    - A rich mine of blessing in life    (2Co 9:6-9)
    1) We must sow tithes and offerings to God
        - Do it with a heart of joy, not a heart of stinginess or stubbornness    (Mal 3:10)
    2) Try not to be stingy when doing relief work for your neighbors
        - Give, and it will be given to you (An amazing principle of investment)
           (2Co 9:9, Lk 6:38, Dt 15:10, Pr 11:25)
    3) The blessing of God
        (1) Believe God´s promise of blessing without doubt    (Mal 3:10)
        (2) Protection from an environmental calamity    (Ps 91:5-6; Mal 3:11)
        (3) The admiration of a stranger    (Dt 28:1-2; Mal 3:12)

3. The people who practiced the principle of sowing and reaping
    1) Abraham    (Ge 14:19-20; 24:35, Gal 3:9)
    2) Isaac    (Ge 26:12-14)
    3) Jacob    (Ge 28:20-22; 32:10)
