How God Sees Me
Psalms 103:8 ~ 103:17

2005-07-17

Introduction : While children are depending on their parents, they are always concerned about their parents´ opinion of them. They are also concerned about the opinions of their teacher and boss, who are evaluating them at school and at work. Then, how does our God see us?

1. When I am disappointed in myself
    1) One day, I was so disappointed in myself. When I was desperate, I sat down before
God... "I don´t judge you by seeing your weak points, but your little strong points
        within you."
    2) The devil is always trying to trample down our strong points and attack us by
exaggerating our weak points (Rev 12:10)
    3) No misfortune is seen in Jacob (Nu 23:18-24)
(God has spoken to Balak, the king of Moab, through the gentile prophet Balaam
about the Israelites who were stained with disobedience and disbelief)
    4) The Lord is compassionate and gracious (Ps 103:8-17)

2. Yahweh Jireh (The Lord will provide)
    1) God provided a ram instead of Isaac (Ge 22:14)
    2) The Lord will provide
        (1) God provided the Garden of Eden (Ge 2:8)
        (2) God provided the ark (Heb 11:7)
        (3) God provided the region of Goshen (Ge 45:10-11, 46:3-4)
        (4) God provided the land of Canaan (Ex 3:8, 23:20)
        (5) God provided the Savior Jesus (Mt 1:23, Jn 3:16)
        (6) God provided heaven (Jn 14:2-3, Mt 25:34)
    3) God provided for me (1Co 2:9)

3. Let´s live like this
    1) God is our merciful God - God is gracious to us and He will provide
        (Job 14:17, Jas 5:11)
    2) Believe and do not doubt (Heb 11:6, 10:38, Jas 1:6)
    3) Let´s obey God - Do not make God feel sad (Ro 6:16, Gal 5:1)
    4) Rejoice in God with thanksgiving (Ps 103:2, Ne 8:10, Heb 13:15)

Conclusion : Life is very short. All precious things in life are just like a dream, and everything will become nothing as time goes by. All those things will leave us someday, except our Savior Jesus and Father God.
