A Person Who Was Born to Give
Luke 6:38

Introduction : The difference between the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea, which receive the same water from the Jordan
    1) The Sea of Galilee discharges as much Jordan water as it receives
        (1) Living sea    (2) Living things can live    (3) Drinking water and agricultural water
    2) The Dead Sea receives water from Jordan and never discharges
        (1) Dead sea    (2) Living things cannot live
        (3) Cannot use as drinking water or agricultural water


1. God is the God who gives
    1) Created all things and blessed from the creation of heaven and earth (Ge 1:27-28)
    2) For Adam
        (1) Made a helper
        (2) Prepared the Garden of Eden
        (3) Gave him the power to rule over all things (Ge 2:15)
    3) Gave one and only son to save corrupted and betrayed life (Jn 3:16)
        (1) Gave Fivefold Blessing and Threefold Gospel through Jesus (Mt 7:11)
        (2) Gave heavenly eternal blessing (Rev 21:3-4)
        (3) Gave the Holy Spirit, faith, hope, love, righteousness, peace and gladness
            (Jn 14:16, 1Co 13:13, Ro 14:17)

2. There are those who always ask
    1) Devil - Try to take the throne of God. Devil and Adam, Devil and Jesus (Isa 14:13)
        (Tempted by greed)
    2) Adam - Wanted to be like God (Ge 3:5)
    3) Corrupted man - a slave to greed (Lk 12:15)
        (1) Not satisfied with a given life (1Ti 6:8)
        (2) Do not give freely, stingy (Pr 11:24)
        (3) Always complain and fight to grasp more (Jas 4:1-2)
            - These kinds of fights cause individual trouble, social trouble, labor and
                management trouble, regional differences, etc.

3. A person who was born to give
    1) The old has gone, the new has come (2Co 5:17)
        (1) Old man, Adam and greed were crucified on the cross with Christ (Ro 6:2-3)
        (2) New person, new life who participated in the life of Christ, a new creation
            (Ro 6:4-11)
    2) Jesus lives my life (Gal 2:20)
        (1) Jesus came to serve
        (2) He came to give His life as an atonement (Mk 10:43-45)
    3) Blessed to give, serve, and share (Lk 6:38, 2Co 9:8)

4. A life principle of a believer
    1) We should give our lives to God
        (1) Give praise, glory, and honor (Rev 4:10-11)
        (2) Give time and material
        (3) Give devotion and service (Ps 91:14-16)
    2) Love and serve neighbors
        (1) Serve instead of being served (Mt 7:12)
        (2) A life of sharing - A boy who shared five loaves of bread and two fish
            (1Jn 3:18-19, 1Ti 6:18, Heb 13:16)
        (3) We should help others in trouble (Jas 1:27)
        (4) What is love? (1Pe 4:8, 1Jn 4:10-12)
    3) A life that loves nature
        (1) Protect nature    (2) Take care of animals (Ro 8:21-22)


Conclusion : The Bible says, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." There is satisfaction and gladness in giving and sharing life. Blessing and grace will overflow continually when we live a life that gives continually.
