Pastor Cho's Sermon Outline - Yoido Full Gospel Church - Seoul, Korea
Happiness Comes from Sharing
Matthew 25:31 ~ 25:46

2015-07-05

G20 is a gathering of countries that are economic giants controlling 85% of the world’s production. As a member country of G20, South Korea hosted the 2010 G20 summit, receiving the attention of the world. After its restoration of independence, until our country became a member of OECD in 1996, it has received 70 trillion won in aid. However, now we have moved from an aid-receiving country to an aid giving country so we can’t help but be happy and proud of our country.

1. Sharing as a happiness

- We do not share because we are happy; happiness comes to us because we share
1) Material possessions and wealth in and of themselves are not bad. However, greed is evil, thus when there is greed, material possessions and wealth become corrupted (James 1:15)
2) If we use our possessions to serve God and man, it is good. Where evil is there is suffering and sadness. However, where good is there is happiness and joy (Proverbs 14:21)

2. Sharing pleases the Lord

1) Sharing love and joy is a way to serve the Lord who we cannot see with our eyes (Matthew 25:40)
2) Not sharing love and joy is being inhospitable to our Lord (Matthew 25:45-46)

3. Sharing leads us to enjoy the more blessings

1) The Bible explains that a life that shares is a blessed life.
1. Luke 6:38 ?“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you? 2. Acts 20:35 ?“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: It is more blessed to give than to receive.? 2) The salvation of the Gentile officer Cornelius and his family
1. God remembered Cornelius?prayers and gifts to the poor (Acts 10:1-5)
2. As instructed by the angel, Cornelius invited Peter and heard the gospel, and as the people listened to the Word, the Holy Spirit came upon them all (Acts 10:44-48)

Greed makes our personal lives miserable and also makes our society and country corrupt. However, if we live, loving others and sharing with them; all of our lives become filled with happiness and joy. In order for our country to continue to be accepted by God and the world and become a source of blessing, we must always give thanks for what we have, and give our love and help to those who are living in difficulty.
