DCEM was established on March 28, 2000 as a specialized
missions organization to support Korean-born world missions
leader Dr. David Yonggi Cho in his missionary work and ministry
through the Holy Spirit. Dr. Cho has been doing missionary
work throughout the world for the last 67 years. Consequently,
he has become well-known to the world and he is constantly
being asked to hold crusades and conferences. He has preached
to tens of millions of people through countless crusades
and conferences during the last century.
With the new millennium starting, DCEM plans to efficiently
introduce Dr. Cho's activities as well as plan his national
and overseas crusades in order to carry out his missionary
work more systematically and more effectively. Also, DCEM
will construct a worldwide missions network that will make
it possible to collect and distribute quality missionary
data.
Facing rapidly changing times, DCEM will be a missionary organization that will encourage those who need the Holy Spirit. It will be an evangelistic organization that will obey God's Word, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth" (Acts 1:8) (KJV)
The circle around the logo symbolizes
the earth.
The horizontal and vertical ellipses within the circle represent latitude and longitude while at the same time symbolizing the Cross.
The four tangential lines directed outwardly symbolize
the powerful message of God delivered by Dr. David
Cho as he reaches out to the world.
The logo is a representation of Dr. Cho's evangelistic
ministry as he carries the cross of Jesus Christ
in his heart and reaches out to the world.
The color blue was chosen for the logo as it represents hope, life and youth.
While the color blue represents the hope and life
offered by the gospel of Jesus Christ, it also represents
the dynamic, continuous flow of Dr. Cho's ministry
to the world.
The 21st century is a new era of spiritual warfare. Mankind
is currently facing changes such as globalization, which blow
across the world at breakneck speed.
Today national borders and trade barriers no longer seem as
high as they used to be. Through developments in information
and communication, technology has made the computer a wonder
tool, enabling man to do unimaginable things compared to even
a decade ago. However, have all these advancements in civilization brought about a happier mankind? Actually,
the gulf between the "haves" and the "have-nots" has widened
and the world is plagued with regional conflicts which take
the lives of men, women and children.
Many futurists predict a fourth wave of world transformation
driven by information, communication and computer technology
advancements. What could that fourth wave be? It refers to
the era of the Holy Spirit. The 21st century will indeed be
a century of scientific advancements and an era of the Holy
Spirit.
Since man was driven from God's side, he has followed a cursed
road throughout history. In this era of incredible advancements
in science, we are in an even greater need of the gospel of
our Lord Jesus Christ. In these last days, it is our duty
to become harvesters and keep the Church righteous in God's
sight. In order to do so, the gospel of Christ and the work
of the Holy Spirit must fill the world.
The messages of God through Dr. David Cho, a Pentecostal
leader being used by the Holy Spirit, are geared especially
for this era. Now through DCEM, these message from God
can be carried loud and clear, far and near.
Daily Bible
Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come."
